AstraZeneca vaccine fact sheet
Client:
Australian Government
Project type:
Easy Read
Topic(s):
- Government and legal
- Health care

In March 2021, the Australian Government released information about the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. The Australian Government updated this information to explain why the AstraZeneca vaccine is only for people aged 50 years or older. This comes after a recent discovery that the AstraZeneca vaccine may cause blood clots in people under 50 years old, but this side effect is rare.

We worked with the Australian Government to update the existing Easy Read fact sheet about the AstraZeneca vaccine.
This fact sheet gives people more information about:
- who the vaccine is most suitable for
- the safety of the vaccine
- who the vaccine is not suitable for.

You can check it out on the Disability Gateway website.
