Easy Read
About our Easy Read services
Our Easy Read services can help your communications reach a wider audience. Easy Read is information that is presented in a way that is very easy to understand. It uses images to support text, large font sizes and plenty of white space.
Easy Read is commonly used to connect with different groups in our community, including:
- people with disability
- First Nations people
- people from multicultural communities
- people with low literacy.
Our Easy Read translations provide clients with a simplified and summarised version of their original content. It’s important to remember that Easy Read is not a word-for-word translation. This means that we can work from draft content if your timeframes are tight.

Easy Read images
We have completed multiple photoshoots to make sure our images are representative of the Australian community and suitable for Easy Read. We combine these photos with stock photography for more general concepts. We can also create custom illustrations and icons that meet branding guidelines for our clients.

User testing
We test materials with different people to make sure the content meets the needs of the intended audience.

File output
We provide an accessible PDF that meets WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility requirements. We can also provide a text-only Word document and packaged files for web.

Easy Read online
Publishing your Easy Read content as a web page is the most accessible format for many users.
We can create an HTML version of your content and can also publish and host it for you to make this a straightforward process.
Our experience
We have extensive experience translating complex information into Easy Read. From Disability Access and Inclusion Plans to NDIS law changes or Annual Reports, we can help you engage with more people in the community.
