Changes to family law from May 2024: Information for parents

The Attorney-General’s Department (AGD) coordinated changes to laws about how family courts decide what is best for a child. We produced an Easy Read version of a fact sheet for people who are part of family court cases and need to understand these changes.

Our editorial team used clear, easy-to-understand language to explain very specific legal circumstances and processes. We also worked with our in-house document testers to make sure the images and text communicated these complex ideas clearly. Our design team worked with AGD to make sure we aligned the branding of the Easy Read with their original fact sheet.
