We edited a set of patient resources into plain language for Safer Care Victoria to help explain the Duty of Candour process.

The Duty of Candour process is a patient’s right to an apology and an explanation if they are harmed while receiving health care.

We worked on 3 resources, including a:

  • flyer summarising the patient’s rights and the 3 stages of the Duty of Candour process
  • poster highlighting key points
  • document answering frequently asked questions about patient rights and the Duty of Candour process.

We worked closely with the client to make sure this content was precise, consistent and fit within the design of the documents.
