The Australian Federal Police (AFP) engaged us to design 4 Microsoft Word templates for their Youth Trends Report, produced by the Online Child Safety Team (OCST). This report is essential for teams within the AFP and the Australian Centre of Counter Child Exploitation, as it helps them understand current youth behaviour trends to support operational and prevention efforts.

Since the report is released quarterly, the AFP requested that each template reflect the changing seasons—summer, autumn, winter and spring. We created 4 visually distinct templates, each relating to the season while aligning with the AFP’s brand guidelines.
The summer template features warm, vibrant colours to convey energy, while the winter template uses cooler tones for a calm, reflective feel. The autumn template incorporates rich, earthy colours, symbolising transition, and the spring template embraces fresh, light colours to suggest renewal.

We designed each template for functionality to make sure the OCST can present complex data clearly and professionally. They include easily customizable headings, tables, and bullet points to streamline report creation. The final result was a set of polished templates that effectively capture the seasonal themes and enhance the readability of the report, which the AFP was very pleased with.
