City of Prospect Easy Read Disability Access and Inclusion Plan

We worked with the City of Prospect in South Australia to create an Easy Read version of their draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) for community consultation.

This DAIP sets out how the City of Prospect is committed to promoting inclusion and improving accessibility across services, facilities and employment. The Easy Read summary explains why accessibility matters, shares the City of Prospect’s vision of an accessible community and gives clear examples of what they will do to achieve these goals.

The draft DAIP was developed in line with amendments to the Disability Inclusion Act 2018, which was passed by the South Australian Parliament in 2024 in an effort to strengthen government commitment to access and inclusion.

By creating an Easy Read version for consultation, the City of Prospect ensured that more people with disability, families and carers could actively understand and provide feedback on the DAIP before it is finalised. The Easy Read draft is available as an accessible PDF and in HTML format.

You can view both the original draft and the Easy Read consultation version of the DAIP on the City of Prospect website.
