The School Leavers Information Kit

The School Leavers Information Kit (SLIK) is a useful and informative guide to help young people explore their career pathways. It was developed by the National Careers Institute (NCI), a division of the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE).

We worked with NCI to create a suite of resources to complement the SLIK guide. We tested the messaging and look of these materials with young people, teachers, parents and career advisors – and incorporated their feedback into the final products. Adopting this approach ensured we met the needs of the target audience and developed resources that clearly convey information young people need.

NCI valued our expertise and approach and shared feedback including:

• ‘high-quality work throughout the project’

• ‘the care that the Information Access Group put into the work shone through’.

We are thrilled to have been involved in a project that will support thousands of young people around Australia on their career journey.
